Runes & Insigs
I've been running my rit around for awhile and just do a little light pvp and Hard Mode Runs. I wanted to know what Runes and Insigs you guys found most useful for the rit. Some people say superior is greater than minor in PvE. But others say go all Minor for PvP or Hard Mode. I know monsters target the lowest HP/Armored person. Should I be stickin Minors on myself and all my heroes? Also, what insigs/runes should I be using? Obviously vitae is important but would a combinatino of energy/vitae be optimal? What do you guys think is the best general Rune/Insig setup. I am very poor so I don't have 4 sets of armor customize. I really need a general setup that can handle Gernal Hard Mode and/or PvP.
Anyway,
Thanks in advance!

Survivor Insignias are the best all around unless for a specific build. Others would be Ghost Forge (for SS fun) and Shaman's (for Spirit Spammers, but please don't).
I go with Minor Runes (cuz I <3 health), several headpieces (depending on my mood or group), and a Superior Rune of Vigor (HEALTH!).
If you have good weapons and are smart about your energy, you don't need Attunement Runes or Radiant Insignias. They become a waste of money.
Minor Runes aren't a necessity in PvE (especially if you're a Derv). Having a Major Rune is alright. Superior Runes seem to be acceptable only for farming and SS/MM necros.
Do what you want, but try not to have less than 480 health. The extra couple points of damage or whatnot for your skills is not worth the 35 or 75 health loss.

I recommend:
Full Survivor : 40 hp
Sup vigor : 50 hp
Minor Chan, minor restau
2 Vitae : 20hp
650 hp on your shield set, and 590 on your 40/40 casting set or when holding a pot.

if you're budget consious don't be afraid to go witht he major vigor though, keep in mind that extra 10k or so you pay for the superior vigor is only for that extra 9hp.
All in all though more health is good!

Full Survivor.
3 Minors & your Superior Vigor.
Vitae to finish it off.
For Rit, +1 for the 2 attributes you're using, Rit's primary is kinda bad.
So as Utaku said, 2 Vitae:P

Just echoing everyone else. Rits are very energy effecient so energy isn't needed. Dying is the main thing you need to worry about and health will save your butt there. I don't really like the armor insignias because they are so situational aka only when you have a weapon spell and I find alot of time it just isn't there when I need it. I also don't find sup attribute runes that helpful since rits are usually running at least two skill lines on there bar so I get less benefit from a superior then say a fire ele would using ALL fire skills.

Excellent advice guys. Appreciate the quick reply. I just set my main armor to the suggestions. I already vanquished 2 areas I died in. Anyway I unlocked a few max weapons from the mission pack and want to start getting my weapon swaps ready. What should I be holding with my shield set? A spear? a wand? What gives the +60 HP effect on the shield that your refering too? I usually run channeling/resto in PvE.

The +60hp is the Shield and the Martial weapon.

Well i guess the best you could do is:
Set one: spear/axe/sword with +5 energy inscription and +30hp; shield with +30hp and armor+10 vs type inscription (ideally you need many of those, but +10vs fire, cold and slashing should be enough). Note that +10vs fire/cold/lightning/earth shields exist as end Nightfall greens.
This is the set you should be on when you're not casting spells. Remember that spirits summons aren't spells.
Set 2: channeling wand and focus.
Wand: "Aptitude not Attitude" + wand wrapping of memory
Focus: "Forget Me Not" + focus core of aptitude
This is usually called a 40/40 set
Set 3: identical to set 2 mods-wise, but applied to restauration wand and focus.
Set 4: restauration or channeling wand and focus. Attribute doesn't really matter, but you need to meet the req to get max energy from the focus.
Wand:"Seize the Day" + wand wrapping of memory
Focus: "Live for Today" + core focus of fortitude
Usually called : +30/-2 energy.
This is your high energy set. Do not sit on this set, just use it when you need extra energy, and swap back to shield set.
